Anna joined Francis Mehr LLP in 2019 after completing her law degree at the University of Ottawa. During law school, Anna devoted all her free time to competitive international mooting, travelling to New York City, Hamburg, Vienna and Stockholm to represent the University of Ottawa. She represented Ottawa in three moots: the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration competition, in 2018 and 2019, as well as in the Foreign Direct Investment competition in 2018, bringing home awards in both the written and oral advocacy categories each time.
Before law school Anna worked as a realtor, which now gives her an edge in real estate litigation. In addition, she helps clients in domestic and international sales law, partnership disputes, domestic and international arbitration, landlord and tenant matters, as well as in matters under the Libel and Slander Act. Anna has experience before the Small Claims Court, the Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and the Supreme Court of Canada in Wellman v TELUS and in Uber v Heller.
Anna can assist clients in English and Russian.
Anna has a Bachelor with Honours degree in Philosophy and in English from York University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, English Common Law Section.
Anna spends her free time writing, reading fiction, and helping coach the University of Ottawa’s Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration moot team.
